Four new lobbyists are representing the Chicago Teachers Union in Springfield. Anthony Rossi, Michael Mannion, Andrew Bodewes and Katie Anselment are now working under Legislative Coordinator Traci Cobb-Evans. The NewSchools Venture Fund has named Donald Feinstein, executive director of the Academy for Urban School Leadership, as Entrepreneur of the Year.

Four new lobbyists are representing the Chicago Teachers Union in Springfield. Anthony Rossi, Michael Mannion, Andrew Bodewes and Katie Anselment are now working under Legislative Coordinator Traci Cobb-Evans. Rossi, Bodewes and Anselment formerly were on the staff of House Speaker Michael Madigan (D-Chicago). Mannion is an attorney who worked for former Republican House Speaker Lee Daniels.

INNOVATION AWARD  The NewSchools Venture Fund has named Donald Feinstein, executive director of the Academy for Urban School Leadership, as Entrepreneur of the Year. NewSchools is a national nonprofit that supports innovation in education, particularly in under-served communities. AUSL is a nonprofit that runs six teacher training academies in Chicago and eight CPS turnaround schools. Feinstein joined the organization in 2001 and became executive director in 2004.
