CPS lawyer nominated for federal post

Charles Rose, the former lead negotiator for CPS in its contract negotiations with employee unions, including the Chicago Teachers Union, has been nominated as general counsel for the U.S. Department of Education under Secretary of Education Arne Duncan. President Barack Obama nominated Rose last week for the post. Rose was founding partner of Franczek Radelet & Rose P.C. and is a graduate of DePaul University School of Law.
