The Illinois Early Childhood Fellowship Program, a project of the Evanston Community Foundation, is seeking candidates for its two-year program designed to give participants expertise and leadership skills in early childhood education policy. Fellows will work for leading Illinois nonprofit groups that work on behalf of young children, where they will develop and manage projects, undergo mentoring and attend seminars. Candidates should have two to 10 years of relevant work experience and, preferably, a graduate degree (those without a graduate degree must have at least four years of experience). Minority candidates are encouraged to apply.  Fellows will be paid a salary of $55,000. The deadline to apply is May 15, 2009 and three fellows will be chosen in July.
